Part of the "yogin's" path is to follow "The 8 Limbs of Yoga" as set down in Patanjali's Yoga Sutras. The 8 Limbs are: Yama (social ethics), Niyama (personal ethics), Asana (posture, sitting), Pranayama (breath regulation), Pratyahara, (internalization of the senses), Dharana (focus), Dhyana (meditation), and Samadhi (complete absorption).

"Satya" is one of the "Yamas" that in Sanskrit means truth or truthfulness. The truth that is meant by "Satya" is not just "truth" in the literal sense but means not intending to deceive others in our thoughts, words, or deeds. One must make it a practice to know what the truth is before speaking or writing. Much hurt and pain has been caused by rumor-spreading, gossip, and the fabricated written word.

Let this Amulet guide you to know your own personal truth. What do you believe in? What do you stand for? Are you living your own truth; a life true to your own principles and beliefs?

Excelsior pewter - Come with 36" cord and booklet
Two horses facing each other is an image older than written history. Throughout northern Europe the Magical Nordic M Rune, Ehwaz, was as a stylized image of a horse facing its own reflection. This rune was a Symbol of Trust.

To these ancient people the horse was far more than a just a beast to alleviate the burdens of their lives; The horse was viewed as the Sacred Ambassador to Epona, the Celtic Goddess of Horses, and was believed to walk between the worlds of Men and Divinity.

The connection between the horse and rider is one of Mystic Communication, each "feeling" the other. This bond created between horse and rider is only possible with Mutual Trust and Awareness. This connection was called a "Divine Accord," and the Rune Ehwaz was used as a talisman to strengthen that Trust, Friendship, and Love.

It was not unheard of that a rider would allow the horse to wander freely with Absolute Trust and, guided by the will of Epona, it would bring the rider to their Ultimate Destiny.

Excelsior Pewter - comes with booklet and 36" cord
Poseidon, Greek God of the Ocean known for his Fearsome Power, used his Powerful Trident to stir up Tidal Waves, Tsunamis, and Sea Storms. He was also known as "The Earth Shaker” because when he struck the earth in anger he caused mighty earthquakes and volcanoes.

In this Original design, the trident is the shape of a Titanic Kraken [Giant Squid]; a naturally intelligent and flexible creature having the Magical Powers of Water - .Fluid, Intuitive, and Creative. The Kraken's ability to change color and disappear into a cloud of black ink gives this creature a Mystique of Magic, Wonder, and Transformation. Krakens do not have a spine which accounts for their agility, grace and flexibility. Without much of a solid structure, they're free to "go with the flow." A Squid, as a Spiritual Totem Guide, is a reminder to loosen up, let go of old and calcified habits, and to try something new. The squid's ability to disengage a limb when under attack earns it the right to stand as a symbol of "jettisoning excess baggage!"

It reminds us that our life's journey moves forward when we continue with only what we truly need.

Captain Kidd the famous "Pirate," who sailed from Massachusetts in the mid 1500's and buried a vast treasure on Gardiner Island near Long Island, might never have survived if not for his cat. Cats were invaluable aboard the sailing ships of yore. The cats on board kept the valuable food stuff from being spoiled by rats that infested every ship that ever sailed! Without the Captains Cat the sailors would be in danger of getting sick from rat droppings or infected with vile rat-born sickness. Pirates were also a superstitious lot. During this time seamen considered the possession of black cats good luck. It was a common practice for the loved ones of a merchant marine to keep a black cat in the house while he was at sea. It was believed that so long as the cat was well fed and kept safe from harm, nothing would happen to the mariner. Sailors also kept cats on board ships to bring them Good Luck. If a cat was thrown overboard, a storm would rise and very bad luck would follow. Cats with extra toes were always a good thing on board ships. Sailors were long-known to especially value these cats for their extraordinary climbing and hunting abilities as an aid in controlling shipboard rodents.
Some sailors also considered them to be extremely good luck when at sea. Today, such cats are found throughout England and the Eastern Seaboard of the United States!
